Testing Process

How We Validate
Digital Products

Our testing process follows a structured five-stage validation cycle that takes a product from initial review through deployment authorization. Every stage produces documented evidence and clear handoff criteria before the next stage begins.

Step-by-Step Validation Cycle

01

Review

Days 1–2

The engagement begins with a structured product review. We analyze architecture documentation, identify validation scope, define stability benchmarks, and map all critical paths that require testing coverage. Entry and exit criteria are established for each subsequent stage. A validation plan is produced and agreed before testing begins. This stage ensures that no testing resource is applied to areas outside the defined scope.

Outputs from this stage:
  • Validation scope document
  • Stability benchmark definitions
  • Critical path map
  • Agreed validation plan
02

Test

Days 3–7

Controlled testing cycles execute across all defined coverage areas. Testing is conducted in configured environments that mirror production conditions. Functional, performance, integration, and environment-layer tests run in sequence, with results logged in real time. Each test case includes a pass/fail verdict and, where applicable, a reproduction path for failed states. Testing continues until all defined coverage areas have been executed at least once within the cycle.

Outputs from this stage:
  • Full test execution log
  • Pass/fail verdict per test case
  • Issue reproduction documentation
  • Coverage completion report
03

Validate

Days 7–9

All issues identified during the Test stage are classified, prioritized, and entered into the issue register. Each issue is reviewed against the predefined stability benchmarks to determine whether it represents a blocking condition for deployment. Issues are mapped to their root components and assigned severity ratings. A validation verdict is issued for each coverage area, indicating whether the area meets deployment readiness criteria or requires remediation before proceeding.

Outputs from this stage:
  • Issue register with severity ratings
  • Root cause mapping per issue
  • Coverage area verdicts
  • Blocking vs. non-blocking classification
04

Refine

Days 9–14

Identified issues are resolved through iterative refinement cycles. Where specialist knowledge is required, external specialists are coordinated and integrated into the refinement workflow. Each resolved issue is re-tested to confirm resolution and prevent regression. Refinement continues until all blocking issues are resolved and no new blocking conditions are introduced. Non-blocking issues are documented with recommended remediation paths and included in the final report as advisory findings.

Outputs from this stage:
  • Resolved issue documentation
  • Re-test confirmation logs
  • Specialist coordination records
  • Updated issue register
05

Deploy

Days 14–16

Final pre-deployment verification confirms that all blocking issues are resolved, the environment is configured correctly, and rollback procedures are in place. A deployment authorization document is produced, summarizing the validation cycle, confirmed stability status, and any outstanding advisory findings. This document serves as the formal sign-off for the controlled product release. Post-deployment, a brief stability check is conducted to confirm behavior in the live environment matches the validated state.

Outputs from this stage:
  • Deployment authorization document
  • Final stability summary report
  • Environment sign-off
  • Post-deployment health check

What Gets Measured

Coverage %

Test Coverage

Percentage of defined product scope covered by executed test cases across all validation layers.

Severity Score

Issue Severity

Structured scoring of identified issues from critical (deployment-blocking) to advisory (non-blocking).

Pass Rate

Stability Pass Rate

Proportion of test cases returning a stable pass verdict within the current validation cycle.

Cycle Count

Refinement Cycles

Number of refinement and re-test iterations completed before deployment authorization is issued.
